Alternative Careers in Photography
I’m excited to be among the talented panel for the Alternative Careers in Photography on March 13th! Melissa Hennessy and the Portfolio Center at Columbia College Chicago continue to offer an evolving set of programs designed to help students make well-informed career choices. As a Columbia student, I took full advantage of the resources at the Portfolio Center. As alumni, I’m excited to be included as one of those resources!
For every student who thinks (or knows) they don’t have to be the photographer to make an impact on the photography industry, there are plenty of art buyers, producers, photo editors, digital techs, agents, stylists, gallery owners and curators to validate that career path!
Join us Thursday, March 13th as we hear from a panel of artists who began their careers as photographers, but went on to find fulfillment & reward in other areas of the photo industry. Each will speak about their past roles in the industry and how they arrived in their current & very supportive roles in our photo community.
